BIOPREN® /PROTECT® flea and mosquito larvicide pump spray

Active ingredient:

w/w 0.03 % (0.297 g/L) S-methoprene

 

For indoor control of fleas and – when applied to smaller breeding waters – for inhibition of the development of mosquito larvae. The product affects the larvae of various mosquito species (Aedes and Culex) but has no effect on adult mosquitoes.

 

The flea population living in our environment is present in pupal (10%), larval (35%) and egg (50%) stages, with fully developed blood sucking individuals representing only 5%. Eggs and larvae may be repressed by using an insect growth regulator – such as the S-methoprene – which blocks the metamorphosis of the developing individuals and stops the growth of the population.

 

Against mosquitoes – when applied to the water – the product immediately releases the S-methoprene active substance which prevents the metamorphosis of mosquito larvae into fully developed biting insects.
